As a Senior Data Analytics Engineer with over 9 years of experience in designing and building data collection systems, processing pipelines, and reporting tools, I bring a wealth of technical expertise to any organization. I am proficient in a variety of technologies such as Apache Nifi, Informatica Powercenter, Tableau, Qlik Sense, R, Spark, Python, R, Scala, and various databases such as SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and many more.

My core competencies include developing ETL processes to transform raw data into powerful features, creating data processing frameworks that meet business requirements, and implementing machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics. I have a proven track record of developing scalable and resilient data pipelines and analytics solutions that drive business growth.

As a data scientist, I have a deep understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms and can develop predictive models that provide actionable insights. I am proficient in using Python, R, and Scala to develop models that can support both supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques. I have obtained 8 AWS certifications, 5 Alibaba Cloud Certifications, 12 Microsoft Cloud certifications, 6 Oracle Cloud certifications, and other certifications from other vendors, which demonstrate my deep understanding of cloud computing and my ability to leverage cloud-based tools and services to build scalable and resilient data pipelines and analytics solutions.

Aside from my technical skills, I am a results-driven individual committed to delivering high-quality work that exceeds expectations. I have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and can effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. I am passionate about leveraging data to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency, and I am always looking for new and innovative ways to use data to solve complex business problems.

Over the years, I have worked with different organizations and gained experience in various industries. I have worked for Safaricom as a Senior Data Analytics Engineer since April 2022. Before that, I worked for Kenya Development Corporation Limited as a Senior Information Technology Administrator from July 2021 to March 2022, Industrial and Commercial Development Corporation as an Information Technology Administrator from January 2021 to July 2021, and Mucho Mangoes Limited as a Program Manager for the 21st Century Digital Farmer program and an Information Technology Specialist from February 2017 to November 2020.

Furthermore, I have also worked on a program called Presidential Digital Talent by the Kenyan Government, ICT Authority, and Ministry of ICT, where I was placed at ICT Authority HQ offices in Nairobi, Ministry of ICT Offices in Malindi, Huawei Technologies, and Safaricom Limited from January 2014 to December 2014. This experience has allowed me to work in various environments and industries, further sharpening my data analytics and engineering skills.
